You don't need a rental car from the Airport as there are inexpensive shuttles that will take you to the Hotel Zone for around $18 US per couple. Once there the city provides great bus service for 6.5 pesos (59 cents) to anywhere on the Hotel Zone or Downtown Cancun. It is like a huge flea market where you can deal the price with the vendors.

The largest and most contemporary of the malls, it is located north of the Convention Center. It houses about 200 shops and boutiques, including two pharmacies, art galleries, a currency exchange, and folk-art and jewelry shops, as well as cafes and restaurants. Boutiques include Benetton, Bally, Gucci, and Ralph Lauren, with prices lower than their U.S. counterparts.

It houses JC Penney, Sears, Liverpool, J&C, Pelletier, Sanborns, Mama Roma's, Chedraui supermarket and much more beautiful decorated stores.
